The Book Fair is Coming!
Also at the Book Fair this year is the “Chapman Challenge”.

Hillsboro Elementary School will be hosting a Book Fair during the week of Oct. 13-17 in the school’s library. The Book Fair offers a wide variety of children’s books, posters, activity books, calendars, cook books, and gift items, along with computer CDs. The fair is open to the public daily from 8:15am - 4:30pm. On Thursday, October 16, parent-teacher conference evening, the Book Fair hours will be extended to 8:00pm. Profits from the fair will be used to purchase library materials, Accelerated Reader, and book prizes for the school reading program. Shop early for Christmas gifts or just come and browse the selection!
Also at the Book Fair this year is the “Chapman Challenge”.
Students and families are asked to bring in loose change. The money
collected will be given to the Chapman Schools, who will use the
money to buy books at OUR book fair! Chapman Elementary lost their
library in last summer’s tornado and is in great need of books for
their students. The grade that brings in the most money for Chapman
will receive an extra hour of recess at the city park!!! If the
whole school can raise more than $500, Mr. Yoder will take us on a
reading adventure of his own!!!
NEW at the Book Fair! This year at the Book Fair, the district will
be accepting credit and debit cards as well as cash and checks.
